Who reigns Supreme: Topia vs. Hytopia vs. Hychain Gaming?

Welcome back friends & fam. I don't care to put much filler into this thread as it's all about the meat and potatoes right now.

Thanks to the recent addition of Hychain Games much of what people thought the future would hold for Hytopia & TOPIA has changed. So let's break this down so you can skip around or dive into a dino nug of information!

  1. Hychain Gaming

  2. TOPIA

  3. Hytopia

  4. UGC

  5. Future

  6. See you in 2025 (2024 sure but early days)

Hychain Games

Hychain Games: A gaming-focused L2 powered by the force of technology created to enable mass-adoption Web3 games like Metafab using TOPIA.

  • Migration of Hytopia chain to Arbitrum AnyTrust Tech

    • This brings many improvements vs edge implementation. Such as faster block times, optimized chain state, etc.

  • Hytopia Chain (Hychain_Games) will onboard partner games, powered by TOPIA

    • All partner games will get full access to the might of the proprietary & frictionless Web3 tech stack that has been under development for years

    • Smart Contract Based Accounts System:

      • Frictionless

      • Self-Custody

      • Account Systems

      • Social Authentication

      • Email-Based Authentication

        • Interoperability between all games housed within the Hychain Ecosystem

    • FIAT on-ramp

      • USDC <> TOPIA <> USDC

        • Remove all complexities for players to cash onramp into games

    • Marketplace Tech

      • Games can launch TOPIA/USDC-denominated marketplaces with support for transacting in their own custom tokens

    • Feel free to click the link for more info

  • Metafab merged into Hychain

  • Node distribution

I don't want to get too much into Hychain Games or the details. My goal is to cover the broad strokes and questions that many have. There are plenty of links/directions to find if you are curious

Not everyone was happy when Metafab and its tech with over 1,000+ registered games that serve millions of API requests was open-sourced and sent away. At the time Hytopia was going through a massive transformation. Internally they were dealing with how do we get Hytopia and the platform into millions and eventually 100's of millions hands. This would not happen by gating the ability to build, grow, and create. So decisions were made.

However, here we are with Hychain Games creating one of the most interesting dynamics that I have seen in some time. When you look at "Ronin" and the chain forged for game developers I see where Hytopia and company started to amass a vision along with much more inspiration I am sure. Metafab was and always has been a massive success. However, the clarity and vision were not always there. Who will operate on this chain, how will it work, how does each party benefit, how is it all tied together etc. All of these questions needed to be answered and they have been. I see the vision very clearly now.

Hychain Games with all of its technology and interplay with TOPIA has the potential to rival some of the greatest chains. This is not an opinion for me, this is a mere fact. Look at Ronin #'s:

  • NFT volume @ 4.1B

  • Total Transactions: 530,000,000

  • Total Addresses: 14,797,822

  • Cost per transaction: $.0011

You see as much as these chains are great (Hychain will now be doing it even better). With 1,000's of games already operating it becomes a no-brainer. Think "Epic Games" for Web3 and you will start to see the vision and potential behind what Hychain Games truly is capable of doing. They will help onboard 10's if not hundreds of millions of gamers into the Web3 space. If they choose to create a game they can use the existing tech & infrastructure which is all top-notch. It can all be done using TOPIA as well with seamless onboarding/offboarding ramps between USDC and much much more.

This is such a juicy decision by the team. I'm telling you right now HUGE MOVE doesn't begin to express the potential I think Hychain_Games truly has.

The Game has always been to make Blockchain as easy to use as possible. Make it seamless. Make it frictionless. Make it dummie-proof. This is exactly what they have done. And this is how you make mass adoption happen. Do not get me wrong Ark, Temp, Dan and everyone involved especially all the recent hires are shooting for the stars and not looking to take prisoners. When you want to change the game completely you don't settle for an ounce of anything less than greatness!

Hytopia... Well, I could sit here and talk about Hytopia all day but if you have read my other threads then you know enough about it. And if you haven't well, feel free to back out and come back once you have studied up.

What I will discuss is the future of gaming. And the evolution that has taken place over the years getting us to where we are right now.

Most don't like to discuss inflection points but that is my favorite stuff so let's play a game:

When you look at the above companies it isn't hard to see the change that was needed to create something of substance & history. All of these have gone on to revolutionize their space & sector. They all met an #Inflection point along the way and solved a problem.

Here are some graphics so you can see what solving "Inflection points" has done for companies over the many years...

So how the heck does all of this play into Hytopia? Well, Hytopia is solving problems and doing it on the block. Go back anywhere in history and you will find gamers gaming and selling items likely via a black market. I would argue this is simply capitalism which is one of the greatest gifts ever but much of it has been done behind closed doors. Why not give players the ability to trade and sell assets? Why not give them ownership over their work? Why not have the potential to reward yourself for your hard work? When we start to get into game theory the lines of "Reality and Gaming" become very blurred. Many of the mechanics that gamers follow are the same IRL. If you have ever played World of Warcraft or Runescape the same can be said. Rare mounts, Items, Skins, and Weapons have fetched unreal prices in the real world and have given fame, notoriety, and prestige to those who hold them in the game. I don't think this will ever change. This is our human nature kicking in for better or for worse.

Bitcoin is worth $1 Trillion as of today. That will likely 10X over the next couple of years. Ethereum and other chains/coins will likely be worth Trillions as well. We are going through a revolution in finance. Major institutional companies are onboarding the entire globe with ETF's and exposure to Crypto in general. This is all leading to one place... The blockchain. This means we will have entire generations that follow us who only know cryptocurrency. Don't view this as a bad thing either. Again, we are at an inflection point in history. Much like the internet 30 years ago we are going through another transformation that is simply unfolding in front of us.

Again, I want to talk about Hytopia. But I do want to shed some light on why they are attacking the UGC world with such gusto.

Epic Games and Unreal Engine were founded in 1998. They worked effortlessly for nearly 2 decades to stay relevant. Time moved slower back then as the Internet was setting in. Social Media, YouTube, and the endless connectivity hadn't hit virality. This is an important note. As we have evolved so has the speed at which adoption takes place for new tech, new games, new anything that is done right. Let's dive into Fortnite for example. Fortnite launched in 2017 and by May 2018 it had amassed nearly 125M players and made Epic Games over $1B in microtransactions selling skins, weapons, emotes, season packs etc. By 2019 there were roughly 250M+ players and had a valuation of over $8.5B with recurring royalty revenue of over $1B per year. By 2020 Epic Games was valued at $17B and growing with Disney just injecting 1.5B into the platform to help save their franchise. There is no doubt gaming is the way to go but why? Fortnite didn't just make a game, they made a movement. They blended accessibility, social features, creative tools, free-to-play, and much more. The results speak for themselves.

So let's chat UGC (Roblox vs. Minecraft). Adoption of games can happen at blistering paces we saw it with Fortnite in a matter of 2 years, and heck we just saw it with Palworld selling a whooping $300M just to play the game in 2-weeks. If you build it... Well if you build it right, they will come!

So back to the age-old battle. Both of them games have been massively successful. Both have hundreds of millions of users and bring in Billions in revenue divided between creators and the companies. But recently Roblox has been chipping away at Minecraft. Although these remain the two biggest games smart to look into the separating factors and what Roblox focused on to pull ahead:

  1. Accessibility

  2. Social Features

  3. Creator Tools

  4. Easy to Play

  5. Free to Play

  6. Community Driven

Although this might have been how MC started they slowly drifted. I won't get into details but look at Roblox and it is clear what people want. Look at Fortnite and it is clear what makes games go viral. You need to be zoning in to hammer away at these 6 key features and if done right there is no doubt about the virality and longevity of your game.

And as much as I don't want to talk $$$ I think we can put some #'s down to help everyone.

Server is the Creators responsibility

Servers Taken Care of by Roblox

I'm sure there are more figures I could add but you get the point. These are massive businesses and they are all from User Generated Content. The shift in gaming has and will continue to move in this direction. What is even more interesting is Minecraft with their free China download has been downloaded 475M times... Talk about scaling when you have a truly free platform to build and play on.

So what makes "Hytopia" the possible future? What is the HOOK you might ask? Well, they are building on "rust" which opens the door of possibility wide open. They are inspired by sandbox games much like MC/Roblox. You the user/creator has the power to build anything you can imagine and will have the full backing of the Hytopia team/foundation. The server side will be managed, marketing will be spent, and server lists created all things to help further the adoption of the platform. Special care and detail have gone into hammering on the formula for gaming virality which I will gladly list again:

  1. Accessibility

    1. Hytopia is completely free.

      1. It will be downloadable and browser-based eventually

      2. Cross-platform compatible

      3. VR likely

  2. Social Features

    1. Friends Lists

    2. Server Lists

  3. Creator Tools

    1. Expanded Creator Tools

    2. Hychain Games

    3. Marketing/Foundation/Team Support

    4. Increased payout

    5. MC 50% ish

    6. Roblox 30%

    7. Hytopia 70%

  4. Easy to Play

    1. Log on with social/email

    2. Play

    3. You never have to know it is blockchain unless you want

  5. Free to Play

    1. Check

  6. Community Driven

    1. This is their main focus

    2. Make sure you are interacting with friends. Loading screens, lists, ability to join friend servers, etc.

  7. Check out for more details Ultimate Crash Course: https://allyourloot.com/hytopia-101-ultimate-not-so-crash-course/

Maybe your HOOK as a player is to have a server list, well boom here you go:

Maybe your HOOK as a player is to have a friends list and easily join games your friends are playing, customize inventory, and see items, well boom here you go:

Maybe your HOOK as a player is to have a customizable marketplace and gorgeous UI/In game experience:

Maybe your HOOK is an unlocked Y-axis. Maybe your HOOK is something else. Whatever it is Hytopia is hard at working building it...

I talk HOOK so much because it has become a very important aspect recently. With so much work going into the "Creator" side I started to ask what about the players... What about the hundreds of millions of players who simply log on and play the game for fun? They aren't out to make a buck they likely just want to get home from work/school and spend time questing, grinding, pvp'ing with friends, and destressing from life. Here is a recent research paper done within the Minecraft community and the answers are as follows:

Cheers to the Master of zzz's for the due diligence!

Hytopia is set the become the inflection point. They are Roger Banister proving the 4-minute mile can be run and that a sustainable ecosystem can be done. There have been many amazing games spun up that had huge valuations. Look at AXIE Infinity for example with a booming 25B+ valuation nearly 3 years ago. They didn't have the infrastructure or footing to support what was happening, but they have recently been working to become a legit business doing 400K Monthly revenue. Pudgy Penguins is sitting at a $50,000 per Penguin valuation because they are delivering and growing. They sold over 750,000 physicals last quarter and did $500,000 in sales on Amazon launch day. The narrative is changing. Years ago Digital Collectables, Coins, and Games where spun up to pump and dump. This is 1000% no longer the case. You must create a product, create value, and create a lasting legacy if you plan on making it in this game just like any great company.

And of course many gamers will scoof at why this or that. Why blockchain. Why own your assets. Why? Well that is for you to discover.

If you build the most incredible game then you have nothing to sell. The world will simply show up because it is the best. Much like a movement is formed and Hytopia & Company my friends is doing just that:

Topia... Here we are. I think at this point you have an idea what it is lol

Looks similar to all those early "Inflection" charts above that went on to be valued for 10's or 100's of Billions doesn't it! *cough cough okay take a deep breath

Okay, speculation aside. TOPIA is the native currency and token. If you have stuck around this far you realize how vital owning TOPIA is for both Hytopia and Hychain Games.

Everyone here is asking the question: Herc TOPIA or Worlds... Hah well, couple of ways to break it down.

  • Liquidity is important. Life always happens so many prefer to be in a token/coin that they can exit. Makes perfect sense and if the price rises you can exit effortlessly.

  • Also makes sense if Hychain starts to really pop off then you will have yourself an even more secured TOPIA than ever before

  • VS.

  • Hytopia World

    • Stake it and earn TOPIA

    • Build on it

    • Rent it in the future

    • Partner and advertise

    • Nodes

    • Earn $$$ for games

    • Actually lots to do with owning a world

Hmmmmmmm you see it is challenging. Common sense would argue that TOPIA is the way to go. I don't disagree depending on your timeframe. Many will likely flip if the price rises to $.15 or $.25 maybe it goes to $1 or $5, who knows. But the ability for this to happen all pending money flow is likely on whatever scale you see fit. As a student of time and opportunity, we find ourselves at an interesting junction. Hytopia I would argue likely needs another year before we see any games polished and viral. When that happens the possible valuation for owning a world will finally be set. In the meantime, worlds likely won't have the same potential simply for the fact you can't build on them or earn with them yet, outside staking rewards. So the time expectancy is something to factor in naturally. So maybe own all TOPIA or maybe all Worlds. Maybe even diversify a bit lol as crazy as that sounds. Much of it will come down to your goals, your patience your need to delay gratification.

The real juice for me is what can Hytopia & Hychain Games + TOPIA accomplish in 2-5 or 10+ years. When you look at platforms and their potential it is hard to deny the future is sitting right in front of you. If they can have tens of thousands of games interacting on Hychain Games with TOPIA and a booming ecosystem of Hytopia worlds being built that could rival the likes of dare I say Bloksburg with 500K active daily players and more, well that's it right there.

The goal is to create an ecosystem. A living, breathing, growing body of gamers, developers, and creators all pushing the boundaries and innovating! That is what Hytopia is at its core. When you look at it from that perspective, if you are someone who can play the long game then I think the fruits of a grown tree outweigh the harvest of a baby tree. And don't forget several key factors:

  • Creators get a 20% increase for stacking worlds (This just about takes 10,000 and reduces it to 1,000). So in my eyes, I've always viewed this as a 1,000-land-piece project not a 10,000

    • However, you don't need this. You can still build, play, and compete but there are advantages to owning lands

  • An extra 20-50% could be the difference of $30,000-$500,000 annually for creators and game developers. These are life-changing numbers

  • Along with the foundation, marketing, and server support the "Hook" is endless for a platform that truly values its players and creators

  • Much to be said about running a NODE as well. If you believe this project can not only rival the greats, but become even better then at a 25% cut of all transactions is laughable to think about. The R/R left on the table in 2+ years will likely be huge. Now I'm not saying do or do not, I'm simply saying

Think Gaming Guys. For a brief moment leave the notion of $$$ off the table. Spend some extra time thinking about what you can do to bolster the biggest game on a platform that actually encourages growth!

  • Purchasing behavior

  • Advancement

  • Customization

  • Perceived Value

  • Performance Expectancy

  • Habit

  • The joy/fun of playing

  • Effort Expectancy

  • Social Status

  • Positive Reinforcement

A thriving economy is built on Supply & Demand. For TOPIA to thrive we need to have a thriving ecosystem in HYTOPIA and Hychain games is icing on the cake! And we need to have structured tokenomics with TOPIA to have an in-game economy that supports the growth of Hytopia. We are a flywheel of greatness and sustainability! The goal is to grow. The goal is to create a platform that not only can handle 250M+ players and creators but encourages 500M+ creators, developers, players and anyone else to join because this is the ecosystem to be in! Energetic Causality my friends.

So at the end of the day there you go. I've done plenty of talking about this project. We have been through rugs and rebirths. Through changes in utility to exciting visions about what the future holds. None of this is FA and I would never try to tell anyone what to do. The Trinity of (Topia + Hychain + Hytopia) is a juggernaut if you can stand the test of time to see greatness made. My answers are vague for a reason. Forget the dollar sign. Focus the growth and potential. If you set out to change the world and become the inflection point for how business/gaming is done on the fastest-growing market then you will likely blow past any projections you once had about the true size of this project.. $1B... $2B...$10B...$25B...$50B maybe you are still underplaying the potential size of what is being created as I type this.

Focus on the little things. How you do anything is how we do everything. Leave no stone unturned.

I posted this in chat the other day, and I will gladly update all those who have been asking and rushing for everything to be done. Greatness takes time. Sure there is a need to get to market. But there is more of a need to sourcefully do the absolute best job possible. That is how game-changers are created.
